Reading Assembly.
March 3, 2008

Our class was the first class up for the reading assembly on Thursday the 6th of March.
We have been studying narratives for our writing and reading programs. As an introduction into the genre and character traits we heard the fractured fairy tale : The Real Story of the Three Pigs written from the wolf’s point of view.
Everyone in the class had to choose a main character from the story to write a String Poem about.
We had interesting discussions about poems, the use of capital letters, fullstops and exclamation marks.
The children enjoyed writing these poems and discovered that not all poems rhyme.
